Scope of Works

As part of Balranald Shire’s vital potable water infrastructure upgrades, the shire has engaged contractors to carry out a full refurbishment of the steel water tank.

While the tank is offline, Spot On Civil has been awarded critical works to replace the inlet valve and a section of ductile iron pipe.

Scope of Works Includes:

• Hydro excavation and potholing to locate existing infrastructure
• Planning of works and procurement of materials
• Future planning, including extension and relocation of assets to accommodate upcoming works
• Coordinating a full town water shutdown (approx. 4 hours)
• Excavation and removal of existing assets
• Installation of new valves and replacement piping
• Installation of appropriate thrust supports for all valves, bends, and tees
• Backfilling and site compaction in line with site requirements
• Final site reinstatement
